The evening on the card

At Bear Claw Casino & Hotel, the casino is open every day from 11 AM to 12 AM. These are local Saskatchewan hours, set out as one week from Monday. The whole province keeps Central Standard Time year-round, so Saskatchewan clocks always match Alberta's. A 12 AM close means no hours here run past midnight.

The floor has about 130 slot machines. Tables are a different matter: Bear Claw publishes no table-games page and no table hours. For live-table days and poker, the card therefore lists nothing, and that blank counts as neither yes nor no.

For holiday hours, which this site does not give, see the casino's own site.

A room, an RV, a meal

The hotel at Bear Claw Casino & Hotel has 35 rooms, including 5 suites. Its opening, on July 1, 2010, made it SIGA's first destination resort. Kids under 12 stay at no charge with an adult, queen rooms that allow pets cost extra, and there is no fee to park.

As with every one of the seven SIGA casinos, RVs are welcome here. Registration takes place at Guest Services with a SIGA Rewards card, and no reservations are taken. RV guests all need to be 19 or older.

Growlers Restaurant serves from 11:30 AM to 9 PM daily. The Deli & Bar's hours differ between the casino's pages, so the card leaves them out. A Golf Stay & Play package links the hotel with White Bear Lake Golf Course and Golf Kenosee. All events here are 19+.

At the door, on the map

At White Bear First Nations, on Highway 9 in the Moose Mountains, Bear Claw Casino & Hotel stands north of Carlyle and has plenty of parking. The casino line is 306-577-4577. For the hotel, call 306-577-4588 or toll free 1-877-909-2327.

At SIGA casinos, people under 19 are prohibited individuals and cannot collect winnings. This rule has applied since June 30, 2016, and in Saskatchewan the legal age for gambling is 19.

Measured as straight lines, the casino sits 403.7 km from Saskatoon City Hall, 182.5 km from Regina City Hall and 451.5 km from Prince Albert. They do not measure driving, and no travel times appear in the guide. The casino first opened in 1993, was closed by the province after about three months, and reopened in November 1996.

403.7 km from Saskatoon City Hall, 182.5 km from Regina City Hall, 451.5 km from Prince Albert, all in straight lines.

Next to the other eight

Closing time is the first difference: Bear Claw Casino & Hotel closes at 12 AM every day. Five others close between 2 AM and 4 AM. Round-the-clock hours for part of the week run at Casino Regina, Dakota Dunes Casino and Northern Lights Casino.

A hotel on the property is shared with Dakota Dunes, where the Whitecap Dakota Nation's resort has 155 rooms and suites. Tables are the other gap: five of the nine casinos publish live-table hours, and Bear Claw has no table-games page. Its card shows that row blank, not as a no.
